Concerns of the church, community, nation and world are lifted up in prayer through members who serve as part of a formal prayer chain. A prayer room is maintained for use by individuals for meditation and comfort. Special seasons of prayer are recognized and the membership is called to be involved. Contact: Church Office

Parish Nurse Ministry is part of the Aldersgate Care Team. Their focus is on providing health and welness opportunities for all age groups. Counseling for personal health issues is also available. Complimentary blood pressure screenings are held once a month. Watch the bulletin for time and place. Contact: Church Office.

When members of the church family are unable to physically be present in church, the church attempts to bring “church” to the shut-ins. Two different groups provide monthly contacts with these individuals. The senior visitation committee members are assigned and commit to visit individual shut-ins at least once a month. The Communion TaskForce meets with a pastor once a month to celebrate Holy Communion. The pastor, during the communion service blesses additional communion elements, which are then distributed to the task force members. These members take the blessed elements, travel to the homes of the shut-ins, and share in a service of Holy Communion with the shut-tin residents. Contact: Church Office

This is an outreach of the Higher Education Ministry. Volunteers from the congregation donate useful items and small gifts, including homemade cookies, to members of the church who are in college or the military to show they are not forgotten and still loved by their home church. Items are packed in shoe boxes and mailed at various times in the year. Contact: Mary Ann Jacob.
